Position title: Senior Piping Designer

Job purpose
Execute piping design activities within Concept, FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and Detail Engineering for oil and gas projects.
Ensure high-quality, safe, and timely delivery of piping design and related deliverables in accordance with project requirements, international codes, and standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and coordinate with multi-discipline teams and clients.
Key job responsibilities
- Independently perform the piping design scope drawings for Concept, FEED and Detail Engineering phases.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Ensure engineering integrity, quality assurance and document control for all piping related deliverables.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, toolbox talks, and knowledge sharing.
- Support field execution and construction activities as needed, including site visits when required and as-built documentation.
- Independently develop complex piping designs, equipment layouts, plot plans, and general arrangement drawings using advanced 3D modeling software such as PDMS, E3D, SP3D, or AutoCAD Plant 3D to create detailed models and generate isometric drawings.
- Conduct site visits to verify and collect field data and assess project conditions.
- Review and provide comments on vendor drawings to ensure compatibility with the overall design.
Experience
- 15+ years of experience and proven track record in delivering onshore and offshore piping deliverables in Concept, FEED and Detail Engineering, with EPCM experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Previous ADNOC EPC experience and familiarity with ADNOC procedures and requirements is highly preferred. Experience with ARAMCO, Qatar Energies, PDO, and KOC is also preferred.
- Highly capable and efficient in preparing (hands-on) all onshore piping engineering drawings independently while simultaneously working on multiple projects. Owns assigned tasks with a high degree of responsibility. Flexibility and adaptability to maneuver dynamic and evolving project environments.
- Experience in preparing plot plans, key plans, piping general arrangement and other piping deliverables.
- Experience in production facilities, well pads and pipelines, CPF, production platforms, and gas plants.
Education & qualifications
- Minimum diploma or ITI in piping and mechanical design.
- Relevant 2D and 3D software proficiency (PDMS, E3D, SP3D, or AutoCAD Plant 3D).
Technical skills
- Strong knowledge of drafting standards and industry applicable norms.
- Proficient in relevant codes and standards.
- Experience with 3D design and visualization tools and 2D drafting.
