Senior Profit Protection, Fraud & Investigations Manager
The Senior Profit Protection and Investigations Manager acts as a key member of the Profit Protection leadership team. The role partners closely with Fraud, Information Security, Analytics, Supply Chain, Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Internal Audit and Retail teams to deliver a comprehensive approach to risk management and loss prevention.
The role is responsible for the creation, implementation and management of Dyson's Total Loss strategy across all omni-channel operations, including eCommerce, retail, distribution centres, wholesale and distributor channels. This includes ownership of the profit protection strategy across the supply chain from manufacture to sale, investigations concerning loss within the omni-channel environment, new product launch risk management, counterfeit investigations and brand protection risks.
The Profit Protection team focuses on strategic loss identification, prevention, investigation and reduction through the application of industry-leading technology, analytics, intelligence and operational excellence. The function plays a critical role within the Retail Centre of Excellence and influences strategy across the wider organisation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The breadth of Profit Protection responsibilities within Dyson spans the entire product lifecycle, from manufacture to customer purchase. In today's omni-channel environment, threats emerge from multiple sources including organised criminal networks, fraudsters, internal actors, counterfeit operations and process vulnerabilities.
The Senior Profit Protection and Investigations Manager is responsible for providing global leadership across Profit Protection operations, investigations, compliance and risk management. The role ensures a consistent and effective approach across all regions while developing a world-class Profit Protection capability that protects Dyson's people, products, revenue, assets and brand.
This role will lead the regional Profit Protection Managers and support them in the delivery of regional strategies while driving global consistency, governance and best practice. The Senior Profit Protection and Investigations Manager will also serve as the global lead for significant profit protection investigations, intelligence-driven risk mitigation, talent development and cross-functional collaboration.
The role is responsible for establishing and maintaining a global, cross-functional compliance and assurance programme covering retail, eCommerce, supply chain and fraud-related activity. Insights generated from this programme will inform ongoing risk mitigation, control improvements and strategic prioritisation across Dyson's Total Loss framework.
Key Responsibilities
Global Leadership & Strategy
Lead the regional Profit Protection teams in delivering regional strategies, compliance programmes and loss reduction initiatives.
Drive alignment, consistency and best practice across all Profit Protection regions and functions.
Support the development and execution of Dyson's global Total Loss strategy.
Act as a senior advisor to regional and functional leadership teams on emerging Profit Protection threats and risks.
Investigations & Intelligence Leadership
Provide global leadership and oversight for complex Profit Protection investigations across all markets and channels.
Lead, coordinate and review significant investigations relating to internal theft, organised retail crime, fraud, corruption, supply chain loss, product diversion, policy breaches, counterfeit activity and brand protection matters.
Establish and maintain global investigations standards, governance frameworks, case management processes and reporting protocols.
Ensure investigations are conducted professionally, ethically and in accordance with legal, regulatory and company requirements.
Partner with Legal, HR, Ethics & Compliance, Finance, Information Security and Internal Audit to manage high-risk investigations.
Oversee the identification of trends, emerging threats and organised criminal activity through intelligence gathering and analytical insight.
Ensure investigation findings are translated into meaningful business improvements, corrective actions and risk mitigation strategies.
Support engagement with law enforcement agencies, industry groups and external investigative partners where appropriate.
Provide executive-level reporting and briefings on significant investigations, emerging threats and strategic risks.
Compliance, Risk & Assurance
Create, deliver and maintain a global and cross-functional compliance programme utilising the established Total Loss framework.
Ensure risks are addressed through Profit Protection and Group Security policies, standards and procedures.
Monitor programme effectiveness and implement enhancements where required.
Assess risks across the supply chain, wholesale accounts, distributors, refurbishment centres, retail operations and eCommerce channels.
Evaluate existing controls, identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
Ensure training and awareness content remains current and aligned to organisational risk priorities.
New Product Launch Security
Act as the global coordinator for all Profit Protection matters relating to new product launches.
Coordinate regional teams to develop and implement pre-launch risk mitigation activities.
Lead the response to identified vulnerabilities, information leaks, product diversion incidents or security breaches associated with product launches.
Talent & Capability Development
Lead a global Profit Protection mentoring programme.
Develop succession pipelines and future leadership capability across the function.
Identify, mentor and nurture high-potential team members.
Serve as an external ambassador for Dyson, helping attract and develop Profit Protection talent.
Promote knowledge sharing, continuous improvement and professional development across the global team.

Essential Requirements
7+ years' experience leading regional or global Profit Protection programmes within a complex multinational organisation.
Demonstrable experience leading complex investigations involving theft, fraud, organised retail crime, supply chain loss, misconduct or brand protection issues.
Formal investigative training and experience applying investigative methodologies.
Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.
Experience developing and implementing compliance, assurance or governance programmes.
Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities.
Experience presenting findings, risks and recommendations to senior leadership.
Ability to travel internationally when required.
