About the role:
The candidate will work across several independent software product teams, partnering closely with Product Management and Engineering to plan, coordinate, and deliver product initiatives. This role will serve as a primary liaison between Product and Engineering, ensuring alignment on priorities, requirements, schedules, dependencies, risks, and release commitments. The ideal candidate will have experience working in organizations with growing and disparate software development groups and will help establish scalable processes that improve collaboration, delivery predictability, and alignment across teams. The candidate will be responsible for managing the execution of multiple software/product initiatives while working closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineering leaders, developers, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
In addition to establishing and improving delivery processes, the Project Manager/Scrum Master will develop project and release schedules, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, track dependencies, identify and mitigate risks, coordinate engineering activities, and ensure product initiatives remain on track from planning through delivery and release.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine status and project reports to stakeholders including product management, senior management, engineering and co-workers as required. Status will be communicated verbally, through powerpoint presentations, Jira dashboards, velocity and release statistics, and other ad hoc reports.
- Assess the process maturity of the teams and organization and coach the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable for the team and organization.
- Leading efforts to improve process and reporting by leveraging AI tools.
- Configure Jira projects and Confluence spaces and continuously assess efficacy of structures.
- Assist in comparing processes and structures across internal teams and proposing improvements.
- Implement processes and structures to improve and support agile/scrum methodology.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and tracking of project plans and schedules.
- Work in collaboration with other scrum masters and project managers to organize and lead product integration projects
- Support cross-team initiatives to improve and standardize sprint reporting and release forecasting.
- Run projects in a variety of methodologies including Kanban, scrum, or waterfall.
- Manage all aspects of the software development lifecycle using JIRA and Confluence.
- Remain current in Project Management and agile best practices, and IT technology.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- 8 to10 years of experience managing software/product development projects or serving as a Project Manager/Scrum Master in software engineering environments, with demostrated experience partnering closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to deliver software products.
- Project Management experience must include using planning, scheduling, reporting and documenting tools including Atlassian software.
- Experience leveraging agentic AI for project management processes.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies.
- Must be capable of leading and successfully working with individuals from different disciplines and experience levels.
Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information.
Perferred Skills:
- Experience working on government contracts preferred.
- Experience leading software projects using Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, and waterfall methodologies.
- Experience leading and implementing continuous process improvements.
- PMP and CSM certification is desired.
- Background in business analysis desired.
- Background in requirements management tools and configuration desired
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:
£85,100.00-112,200.00 GBPThe actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs.
