About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join a high-performing digital engineering team in Amsterdam. This role focuses on designing and developing scalable microservices, cloud-native applications, and enterprise solutions using Python, FastAPI, Kafka, and Azure technologies within a SAFe Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and microservices.
• Build high-performance REST APIs using FastAPI.
• Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Prepare functional and technical specification documents.
• Create user stories and participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and spike creation.
• Develop and execute test cases to ensure software quality.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, AKS, and Helm.
• Support production deployments, cut-over planning, hyper-care, and post-implementation transition.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
