Your qualifications:
- Required Technical Skills & Experience Core Competencies:
- 5+ years in QA automation with at least 2 years of hands-on Playwright experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or JavaScript for test authoring; Python a plus
- Deep knowledge of Playwright APIs: page objects, fixtures, network interception, browser contexts, and multi-tab testing
- Solid understanding of web fundamentals: DOM, CSS selectors, XPath, shadow DOM, iframes, and async rendering
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable Page Object Model (POM) or App Actions patterns
- Proven ability to write and maintain end-to-end, integration, and component-level tests
- Solid understanding of REST API testing and ability to write API test suites alongside UI tests (Playwright request context or Supertest)
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit; desktop and mobile viewports)
- Familiarity with test reporting and observability: Allure, Playwright HTML Reporter, or similar
- Experience integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI)
- Ability to analyze flaky tests, identify root causes, and implement retry/isolation strategies
- Strong debugging skills: browser DevTools, Playwright trace viewer, HAR files, and network logs
- Process & Collaboration:
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams; ability to participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement from a quality perspective
- Skilled at writing and maintaining test plans, test strategies, and bug reports with clear reproduction steps
- Ability to review PRs for testability and flag quality risks early in the development cycle
- Experience mentoring junior QA engineers; ability to establish team standards and review test code

- Familiarity with mobile testing: Appium, Detox, or Playwright mobile emulation
- Knowledge of accessibility testing: axe-core, ARIA standards, WCAG 2.1 compliance testing
- Experience with contract testing using Pact or similar consumer-driven contract frameworks
- Background in performance or load testing with k6, Gatling, or Locust
- Exposure to AI/LLM-assisted test generation tools (e.g., Codium, GitHub Copilot for test authoring)
- Experience testing GraphQL APIs (query validation, schema coverage, mutation testing)
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin) and writing feature files for stakeholder alignment
- Hands-on experience with Playwright component testing (experimental) or Storybook integration
- Knowledge of security testing basics: OWASP Top 10 awareness, ZAP integration in pipelines
- Background in shift-left QA practices: embedded in development squads, participating in TDD/BDD cycles
