Senior QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work closely with team members (developers, product manager, and partners) to develop, test and deliver high quality software products
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Prevent, collect, analyze and track product defects
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts
• Hands-on manual investigation and reproduction of functional backend (Java) software issues
• Root cause analysis of existing test script failures
• Identification of current test script deficiencies and candidates for additional scripted coverage
• Investigatory testing of unreleased features including defining requirements, behavior and impact
• Documentation and design of candidate test scenarios for the above

Requirements

• At least 7-8 years experience in software testing methodologies, both automation (must have) and manual (general)
• Strong ability to write clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Strong ability to handle backend services such as APIs, databases, distributed services
• Familiar with Linux and database operation: MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle and test environment construction by CICD, Spring Boot
• Good programming: master in Java coding (must have)
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process and using collaboration tools, such as Jira, Trello, Slack, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal, consultative and communication skills
• Self-managed, proactive work style. Able to work independently within a team-centric environment
