Senior Qlik BI Developer

We are seeking a Senior Qlik BI Developer to own end-to-end operational delivery of Qlik reporting during transition by combining Qlik app engineering with platform administration. This role will ensure stable, secure, and performant reporting while providing the operational backbone needed for a safe handover and subsequent modernization across Finance and Supply Chain domains.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Qlik applications within the assigned domain wave, including load scripts, QVD usage, data models, and key calculations
• Implement fixes for defects impacting availability, accuracy, or performance
• Support shadow, reverse-shadow, parallel run, and hypercare activities, including running and monitoring reload cycles
• Assist QA with discrepancy triage during parallel-run validation
• Produce and maintain operational artifacts such as runbooks, known-error databases, dependency notes, and monitoring inputs
• Administer the Qlik Sense on-prem platform (QMC) and/or Qlik SaaS tenant, including spaces, streams, users, roles, and access configuration
• Manage connectors, gateways, reload tasks, and schedules as applicable
• Own and stabilize reload orchestration, including creation and update of schedules, chains, and dependencies
• Troubleshoot failed reloads, long runtimes, and capacity issues, and implement operational controls such as alerts, retries, and standard recovery steps
• Support access and security execution in coordination with governance and security teams, including implementation and troubleshooting of Section Access patterns
• Provide operational and dependency insight to support assessment and rationalization of Qlik apps
• Refactor or harden app reload logic and shared assets to enable migration and modernisation workstreams, and collaborate with the data platform team on data validation and future-state alignment

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with Qlik Sense administration and operations, including on-prem QMC and/or Qlik SaaS tenant administration
• Proficiency in diagnosing and fixing reload/scheduling issues such as task failures, runtimes, dependency chains, and capacity constraints
• Hands-on expertise in Qlik development, including load scripts, data models, QVD structures, and performance tuning
• Background in supporting BI in a production/BAU context, including incident management, stability-first practices, and runbooks
• Familiarity with access management and security patterns in Qlik, including Section Access concepts
• Knowledge of SQL for data validation; familiarity with Snowflake is beneficial
• Upper-Intermediate English language proficiency (B2+)

Nice to have

• Experience with service transitions, vendor handover, and parallel-run governance
• Background in managing large Qlik estates, including standardization, operational controls, and governance
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability setup for BI platforms, including alerting on reload failures, runtimes, and capacity
• Experience modernising BI estates and supporting semantic layer or governed metrics concepts
