Senior Security Engineer, Mobile Device Detection

You will leverage logs and security events from cloud-deployed applications (especially AWS) to detect and respond to intrusion activity targeting cloud APIs and hardware devices. You will design and implement detection rules, analyze sensor and imaging data to develop security-relevant detections, participate in on-call incident handling, and collaborate with other teams to improve security and privacy protections while scaling automated detection systems.

Responsibilities

• Detect and respond to intrusion activity against cloud-deployed APIs
• Design and deliver security detection for tampering and jailbreaking of Android and iOS devices
• Analyze sensor and imaging data to develop security detections
• Implement and tune detection rules using cloud logs (AWS)
• Participate in on-call incident response and handling
• Collaborate with peer teams to negotiate and implement security and privacy improvements
• Scale automated detection and response systems for high-volume identity traffic

Requirements

• 5-8 years experience designing and delivering security detection for tampering, jailbreaking or other attacks against Android or iOS-based hardware devices
• Experience analyzing sensor data (accelerometer, temperature, imaging) to create security-relevant detection techniques
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and experience or willingness to learn incident handling
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills
• Comfort working cross-functionally to negotiate and reach consensus security solutions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
