Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Senior Software Asset Management Software as a Service Specialist to join our Enterprise Information Technology Governance & Financial Operations team.

In this role, you will be responsible for executing day-to-day software asset management activities, ensuring license compliance, tracking usage, and optimizing software spend—particularly across Software as a Service and cloud-based applications.

The Enterprise Information Technology Governance & Financial Operations team supports and enhances software asset lifecycle practices across the organization, collaborating cross-functionally with procurement, finance, legal, and information technology operations to mitigate risk and maximize value.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

• SaaS Lifecycle Management: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle management of Software as a Service software assets, including onboarding, renewals, usage optimization, and offboarding.

• Governance & Compliance: Implement and maintain governance standards, policies, and processes for licensing, while supporting internal audits and external vendor true-ups with accurate reporting.

• Spend Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize software spend, consolidate tooling, reduce shadow Information Technology, and make recommendations on license reallocations or deprovisioning.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with procurement, finance, legal, and business stakeholders to review contracts, manage renewal cycles, and track software entitlements.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in asset governance by adopting best practices, tracking usage analytics, and introducing automation wherever possible.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management, with a strong focus on Software as a Service platforms.

• Strong knowledge of Software as a Service licensing models (user-based, consumption-based, tiered) and major platforms such as Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Adobe, Workday, ServiceNow, Atlassian, and Google Workspace.

• Technical Expertise with Software Asset Management platforms and optimization tools, such as ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, Snow Software, Torii, Zylo, or BetterCloud.

• Advanced Data Skills in Microsoft Excel or data visualization tools (such as Power BI or Tableau) to translate complex license data into clear business insights.

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
