As part of Fanatics Collectibles’ continued global growth, we are establishing a new technology hub in Mexico City focused on operational excellence, platform scalability, trust, and customer experience. This team partners closely with Customer Experience (CX), Trust & Safety, Fraud Prevention, Payments, and Financial Operations organizations to build scalable systems and operational tooling that support millions of users and transactions globally.

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable operational systems that support Customer Experience, Trust & Safety, Fraud Prevention, and Financial Operations across Fanatics Collectibles’ global platforms.

• Lead design and implementation of scalable operational platforms and backend services
• Architect systems supporting customer operations, fraud detection workflows, dispute management, payment operations, and trust tooling
• Drive technical initiatives that improve automation, operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability
• Collaborate with Product, Data, CX Operations, Compliance, and Finance stakeholders to define technical solutions
• Improve system observability, resiliency, monitoring, and operational readiness
• Lead technical investigations, root-cause analysis, and incident response efforts
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical coaching
• Drive engineering standards, development processes, and technical best practices

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience designing scalable distributed systems and backend platforms
• Expertise in Python, Java, Kotlin, or Go
• Strong experience with AWS cloud-native architectures and services
• Experience with event-driven systems and service integrations
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Code-Writing Contribution
Senior Software Engineers are expected to design and implement complex backend systems, influence architectural direction through hands-on technical leadership, and deliver scalable, maintainable production code.
