Senior Software Engineer

What you'll do
Help design, build and maintain high-quality software across our products, from architecture through to deployment
Contribute to the architectural design of new features and systems, ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements
Full-stack product and platform engineering, from web applications and APIs to data pipelines and cloud infrastructure
Produce clean, well-tested, maintainable code, and review the work of other engineers and developers when needed
Provide technical guidance on architecture, tooling and best practice
Work with the Founder and wider team to translate business requirements into strategic technical solutions
Diagnose and resolve technical issues, bugs and production incidents
Maintain the group's production SaaS platforms
Use AI tools to help define specifications, accelerate development, validate code, and improve workflows, applying sound engineering judgement throughout
Keep up to date with relevant technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate
What you'll bring
Several years' professional software engineering experience, ideally in a senior or lead capacity
Strong proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks, with demonstrated expertise in at least one primary language such as Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
Experience with cloud infrastructure, APIs, databases and modern engineering practices, including version control, CI/CD and automated testing
Proven experience with full software development lifecycle practices, including testing, continuous integration and continuous deployment
Strong problem solving ability and sound technical judgement
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of significant pieces of work
Clear communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Curiosity about applying AI tools to real engineering work, and the judgement to know where they genuinely help
Experience in a startup, SaaS or founder-led company environment is useful, but not essential
Tech stack
Full-stack software engineering, from web applications and APIs to data pipelines and cloud infrastructure
Systems integration across the group's own platforms and third-party services (data, identity, workflow)
Applied machine learning and language-model (AI) features integrated into production products
Native iOS and Android app development
Production SaaS platforms maintained and operated in-house (CRM/ERP, uptime monitoring, building automation, edtech)
