Senior Staff Network Engineer Deployment

You will own the global strategy for deploying network infrastructure across data centers, edge sites, and backbone interconnects. You will define standards, architect deployment automation, establish validation criteria, guide network architecture, lead vendor strategy, manage capacity planning, and mentor network deployment engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define the global network deployment strategy
• Author and ratify network deployment standards
• Shape network architecture for deployability
• Set the technical direction for ZTP, IaC, and validation tooling
• Establish burn-in, site acceptance testing, and commissioning criteria
• Lead vendor and partner strategy
• Drive capacity planning and hardware lifecycle strategy
• Mentor network deployment engineers
• Lead design and post-incident reviews

Requirements

• 12+ years of network engineering experience
• Experience with large-scale data center deployments and infrastructure programs
• Experience authoring standards, mentoring engineers, and leading multi-quarter initiatives
• Experience operating large-scale multi-region network fabrics
• Expertise in structured cabling, optical transceivers, and data center power and cooling
• Hands-on experience with Arista EOS, Juniper Junos, and NVIDIA/Mellanox platforms
• Strong knowledge of BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and LLDP
• Experience designing deployment automation systems
• Strong Python and Ansible skills
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code and CI/CD patterns
• Experience leading complex deployment programs
• Ability to diagnose physical and link-layer issues with OTDRs, light meters, and packet captures
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
