Senior Staff Software Engineer IDM Engineering
You will develop large-scale Java-based identity management products, including features and extensions for an enterprise platform. You will translate requirements and designs into functional Java code, implement APIs and identity protocols, support authentication and security work, and optimize performance. You will collaborate with distributed colleagues, product management, architects, and support teams to plan work, deliver cloud deployments, and resolve customer issues.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale single- and multi-tenant Java-based identity management products
- Collaborate with distributed team members
- Analyze and elaborate requirements with product management and architects
- Develop new features for PingIDM
- Plan, estimate, and manage development tasks independently
- Enable successful cloud deployments
- Resolve customer issues with customer-facing support teams
Requirements
- Experience designing and developing large-scale Java applications
- Understanding of HTTP and RESTful web services
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with cloud architectures and deployment strategies, including AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience using AI agents such as Claude Code to plan, validate, and implement functionality
- Ability to learn independently and understand complex features and environments
