About the Role
The Senior Supply Chain Analyst is a seasoned individual contributor responsible for ensuring the right inventory is in the right place at the right time while balancing customer service, inventory optimization, and network efficiency across a global distribution network. This role proactively identifies and mitigates supply risks, optimizes inventory deployment, drives replenishment execution, and delivers operational readiness for new product introductions and strategic business initiatives. Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence decisions that improve business performance and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end distribution planning activities for an assigned product portfolio, ensuring high product availability while optimizing inventory investment and network performance.
- Proactively identify supply risks, inventory imbalances, and potential service disruptions, developing and executing mitigation and recovery plans before customer impact occurs.
- Drive replenishment execution across the global distribution network by monitoring inventory health, resolving planning exceptions, and ensuring timely inventory deployment.
- Lead distribution readiness for new product introductions, geo expansions, phase-ins/phase-outs, and strategic business initiatives by coordinating inventory strategies and ensuring flawless execution.
- Analyze inventory performance, backorders, excess and aging inventory, and key supply chain metrics to identify improvement opportunities and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Partner with Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Commercial, Regional Planning, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, resolve complex supply challenges, and achieve business objectives.
- Champion continuous improvement by enhancing planning processes, leveraging automation, improving system capabilities, and driving operational excellence across the distribution network.
- Communicate risks, business impacts, recommendations, and executive-ready updates to stakeholders while influencing decisions through data-driven analysis and sound business judgment.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment by sharing knowledge, supporting organizational initiatives, and modeling a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP), Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, or a closely related supply chain planning role within a manufacturing or medical device environment.
- Hands-on experience in supply chain planning within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Advanced knowledge of supply chain management, project management, and process improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supply chain network design, new product launches, or promotional planning.
- Practical knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
- Track record of driving process improvements and mentoring other professionals.
