About the Role:
Are you an elite L2/L3 Systems Engineer who loves technical design and client strategy, but refuses to leave the tools behind?
\We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer & Technical Account Manager (TAM) to serve as the primary technical partner for a dedicated portfolio of multi-tenant clients. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role. You will bridge the gap between business strategy and deep technical delivery -designing robust infrastructure roadmaps, managing client relationships, and executing ground-level engineering.
⚠️ CRITICAL SCOPE NOTE: This is a highly technical, hands-on role. If you have transitioned fully into pure people management, compliance/governance policy writing, or enterprise boardroom consulting without active technical implementation, this role will not be a fit.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Relationship Management: Serve as the trusted security advisor for a portfolio of multi-tenant clients, translating complex security needs into actionable roadmaps.
Architecture & Engineering: Design, implement, and review secure network and infrastructure frameworks (including firewalls, cloud environments, and endpoint security).
Incident & Vulnerability Response: Act as a senior escalation point during high-fidelity security incidents, coordinating remediation efforts across client and internal teams.
Vendor & Service Alignment: Manage relationships with external security vendors and monitor service delivery metrics to ensure high client satisfaction.
Security Uplift: Proactively identify vulnerabilities, recommend remediation paths, and conduct regular security health checks for client environments.
About You:
MSP Experience: A strong background working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or multi-tenant MSSP environment. You understand fast velocity and context-switching.
Deep Infrastructure Roots: Hands-on expertise in networking protocols, firewall changes, server patching, and Microsoft 365 security suites. Relevant certifications (e.g., PCNSA/PCNSE, CCNA Security, Security+) are highly regarded.
Strategic Communication: The ability to command a room, translate technical vulnerabilities into business risk for C-suite stakeholders, and use strategic verbs (Architected, Led, Advised) to drive outcomes.
Stability & Reliability: A proven track record of career stability in Australia, with a strong commitment to long-term client delivery.
