Senior Transportation Project Manager

The Mannik & Smith Group (MSG) is expanding our Transportation Team in Michigan, and we’re looking for a Senior Transportation Project Manager to take charge of exciting roadway and utility design projects in a fully 3D digital environment. - Lead the preparation of roadway design plans and 3D models for local agency projects
- Perform and review design calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Prepare design packages for milestone client submittals, including estimates, special provisions, and RID packages
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team
- Support MDOT projects as needed, applying similar expertise and leadership
- Oversee and manage a team of seven designers, ensuring successful project delivery and professional development
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- 12-15 years’ experience working with MDOT transportation and Local Agency
- Michigan PE with the ability to become registered in other states
- Knowledge of OpenRoads ORD design software is required. AutoCAD/Civil3D is a plus
- Experience working as a PM
- Desire and ability to manage a team

The base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting. This range reflects the company’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
