We're looking for a skilled and confident Senior UX Designer to join our Customer Experience team in an embedded capacity with one of Saudi Arabia's leading banks. This is a hybrid role that sits at the intersection of product thinking and visual craft, you'll be involved in shaping what gets built and how it looks and feels.

You'll be working within the client's Riyadh office, collaborating directly with their product and design teams day-to-day, while remaining a valued member of the VML agency team, joining department meetings, contributing to team culture, and benefiting from the development and support structures the agency provides.

This is a rare kind of embedded role. The client is mature from a design perspective, with a well-established design system, a product-oriented mindset, and a working culture that genuinely respects and enables good design. You'll have the conditions to do your best work.

You'll spend your time contributing to product definition, understanding user needs, shaping product direction, and designing experiences, as well as producing high-quality UI that works within and extends an established, comprehensive design system. You'll be one part product designer, one part visual craftsperson, and entirely focused on delivering experiences that serve millions of banking customers across the Kingdom.

What you'll do

  • Contribute to the definition and shaping of digital banking products, working alongside product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into experience solutions.
  • Design intuitive, considered user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI that align to the client's established design system.
  • Apply and work confidently within an existing design system, using components correctly, maintaining visual consistency, and flagging genuine gaps to the appropriate system owners.
  • Translate business and user requirements into clear, well-reasoned design solutions that balance user needs with commercial and technical constraints.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional client team including product managers, developers, and other designers, contributing meaningfully to sprint cycles and product planning.
  • Communicate design decisions with clarity and confidence to stakeholders, backing up recommendations with evidence and rationale.
  • Work across multiple product areas or features simultaneously, managing your own time and priorities in a fast-paced product environment.
  • Participate in regular VML department meetings and contribute to the wider CX team's knowledge sharing, culture, and development.

You will have

  • 6+ years of experience in UX and product design, with a portfolio that demonstrates both strong product thinking and high-quality visual design.
  • Proven experience working in a product environment within a corporate or enterprise organisation, you understand how products are built, how teams are structured, and how to work effectively in that context.
  • Solid experience working with and applying a comprehensive, established design system, you respect the system, work within it effectively, and know how to flag exceptions without undermining consistency.
  • Experience with user research, whether you've led it yourself or contributed as part of a team, you're comfortable with qualitative methods and using insight to inform design.
  • The ability to contribute at both the definition and execution stages of a product, you're as comfortable in a discovery workshop as you are in Figma refining a final screen.
  • Strong visual design skills with a clear eye for detail, hierarchy, and consistency.
  • Experience collaborating directly with clients and client-side teams, building relationships and working with autonomy and professionalism.
  • The ability to work independently in an embedded setting while remaining connected to and contributing to a wider agency team.
  • Experience in financial services, banking, or similarly regulated, large-scale product environments is a strong advantage.

You will be

  • Based in Riyadh, or willing to relocate
  • A native Arabic speaker
  • Willing to dedicate normal working hours (9-6), not in parallel with other working commitments.
  • Willing to spend time in the office each working day.

About the Team

You'll be joining VML's 20+ strong MENA CX department, spread across three countries and made up of visual designers, UX architects, researchers, and strategists. Although you'll be embedded with the client in Riyadh, you'll remain a full member of our team, attending regular department meetings, contributing to our culture, and benefiting from the skills frameworks, mentorship, and growth opportunities the agency offers.

The client environment itself is one of the best you'll find in the region. This is a design-mature organisation that has invested seriously in product and design capability. They have an established design system, a collaborative team culture, and a genuine respect for the value of good design. You'll have the support of both the client team around you and the VML agency behind you.

Why This Role is Different

Embedded agency roles can vary enormously. This one stands out. The client is experienced, design-forward, and committed to building products the right way. You won't be fighting for a seat at the table, design already has one. You'll be working in a well-structured product environment with a design system that works, a team that collaborates, and stakeholders who understand what UX is for.

At the same time, you'll keep the benefits of being part of an agency, variety, community, development frameworks, and a team of specialists to learn from and grow alongside.

If you're a hybrid designer who wants to work on products that matter, in an environment that enables great work, and with the backing of both a world-class client and a leading global agency, we'd love to hear from you.
