Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Site Managers to oversee the day-to-day execution of building construction projects.

The successful candidates will be responsible for site operations, construction planning, subcontractor coordination, progress, quality, safety and resource management to ensure works are delivered according to project schedules, approved specifications and applicable regulatory requirements.

Experience in HDB building construction projects will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Site & Construction Management

• Manage and oversee daily site operations and construction activities.
• Plan construction sequences, work activities and site logistics.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, site teams and client representatives.
• Monitor construction progress against approved project schedules and milestones.
• Identify potential delays, site constraints and construction issues and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.

Resource & Progress Management

• Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, materials and other site resources.
• Monitor site productivity and ensure resources are effectively utilised.
• Coordinate material deliveries and site requirements to support construction schedules.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and work progress.
• Provide regular project and site status updates to the Project Manager.

Quality Management

• Monitor construction workmanship and quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections and follow up on defects or rectification works.
• Ensure works comply with applicable project quality requirements.
• Review relevant construction documentation and maintain appropriate site records.

Workplace Safety & Compliance

• Support and enforce applicable Workplace Safety and Health requirements and project safety procedures.
• Review method statements, risk assessments and Permit-to-Work documentation where applicable.
• Coordinate with project safety personnel to promote safe work practices on site.
• Ensure site activities comply with applicable regulatory, project and contractual requirements.
• Support compliance with relevant HDB, BCA and MOM requirements, where applicable to the project.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in site or construction management within the building construction industry.
• Experience in HDB or similar large-scale residential construction projects will be highly advantageous.
• Good understanding of construction methods, site operations and work sequencing.
• Familiarity with HDB project requirements and construction processes will be advantageous.
• Good knowledge of site safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong leadership, planning and site coordination capabilities.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to effectively coordinate subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage site priorities and project deadlines.
