Software Engineer (Data)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Report Developer to design, develop, test, and deploy reports for a stock trading system. The role requires close collaboration with business and technology teams to deliver accurate, compliant, and timely reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse reporting requirements with business stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain approximately 100 reports.
• Work with SQL, PySpark, ETL, data transformation, and data mapping.
• Develop reports using SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent tools.
• Prepare test cases, support UAT, troubleshoot defects, and implement fixes.
• Support production deployments, change management, documentation, and rollback procedures.
• Coordinate with bank technology teams on system and environment access.
• Lead and coordinate a team of 6+ members, where required.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–7 years of IT development experience, with at least 3 years in report development.
• Strong experience in banking, financial services, or stock trading systems.
• Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, ETL, and data transformation.
• Experience with financial data and stock trading workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in structured banking and production environments.

Nice to Have

• Credit pool model project experience.
• Knowledge of banking compliance and technical standards.
• Strong ownership, problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
