Software Engineer II, Foundation

You will build, improve, and operate shared infrastructure primitives, including Kubernetes clusters, cloud networking, streaming infrastructure, secrets management, IAM, and self-service platform tooling. You will use Terraform and Go, support AWS and GCP infrastructure, participate in on-call rotations, respond to incidents, and improve operational automation.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP using Terraform
• Operate and evolve multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters
• Own the operational side of the migration from managed Kafka to WarpStream
• Contribute to platform tooling and Kubernetes reconcilers using Go
• Design and maintain networking and security infrastructure
• Participate in on-call rotations and improve operational excellence

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering or infrastructure engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, and VPC
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes in production
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, preferably Terraform
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or shell scripting
• Comfort with CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with on-call and incident response
