Software Engineer in Test

As a Software Engineer in Test at CVAT.ai, you'll be a pivotal player in our drive to ensure the highest quality of our computer vision data platform. Your core responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement automated testing strategies and systems. By doing so, you'll help ensure the accuracy and robustness of our machine learning solutions, directly contributing to the reliability of our computer vision platform.

What you'll be doing:

• Developing and improving automated tests for the platform: ​
• Developing a deep understanding of the project and collaborating with developers and the open-source community.
• Working with the infrastructure to optimize build pipelines and test execution.
• Preparing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured plans to improve product test coverage.
• Analyzing requirements, specifications, and technical documentation to provide feedback from a testability perspective.
• Suggesting process improvements and introducing new tools to enhance product quality and the testing process.

What we expect from you:

• 2+ years of experience developing automated tests.
• Proficiency in Python for writing and debugging test scripts.
• Experience with Cypress, Pytest, or similar test automation frameworks.
• A good understanding of client-server architecture and microservices.
• Experience testing the security and performance of web applications.
• Knowledge of data formats used in client-server communication (JSON, XML).
• Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies and tools.
• Experience with Git.
• English proficiency at B1 (Intermediate) level or above, with the ability to read technical documentation and communicate effectively in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Swagger or Postman.
• Experience with databases (SQLite, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Kubernetes and performance or stress testing.
