Our client, a well-established Financial Services organisation, is kicking off a major transformation and simplification programme. We're looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join on a contract basis to lead a code and architecture review across their customer-facing platforms.
The Role
- Initial 2–3 month contract, with potential for extension
- Conduct a thorough code and plan review across customer-facing systems
- Assess current state architecture (.NET backend, JavaScript-based frontend stack) and identify simplification and modernisation opportunities
- Provide clear, actionable recommendations to inform the broader transformation roadmap
- Work closely with engineering leads and stakeholders to align technical direction with business goals
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect and/or Designer in complex environments
- Strong hands-on background with .NET and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Track record of running architecture/code reviews and translating findings into practical roadmaps
- Comfortable operating independently and delivering under contract timelines
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills — able to bridge technical and business conversations
- Location: Central Auckland
- Start: August 2026
- Rate: Market rate, Depending on Experience
