Sr. Financial Analyst - Operations & Supply Chain

This role is currently based at our Minneapolis office and will transition to our new headquarters in Dayton, MN, in 2027.
The Senior FP&A Analyst - Operations & Supply Chain enables financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis and decision support for the operations and supply chain finance leader and assigned business group stakeholders. The position drives the operational forecasts and financial models, translates financial and operational data into insights and recommendations that guide productivity, cost and inventory performance and margin improvement and evaluates the financial impact of operational decisions, programs and investments. The individual in this position also improves the team's forecasting, reporting and analytical tools and guides the work of more junior FP&A Analysts.
What You Will Do at Graco
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Drive the operation's budgets, annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts and long-range planning, serving as the analytical lead across the full planning cycle.
- Analyze performance versus budget, forecast and business objectives, investigating gaps between actual costs and plan to uncover root causes and support proactive risk mitigation.
- Develop and maintain financial models supporting operational planning, supply chain decision-making and business performance analysis.
- Evaluate the financial impact of operational decisions, productivity programs, capital projects and process improvements.
- Lead scenario analysis and support long-range planning activities that evaluate risks, opportunities and future business performance.
Business Performance & Decision Support
- Analyze business performance and key drivers to identify trends, risks, opportunities and performance gaps.
- Translate performance insights into actionable recommendations that improve productivity, cost, inventory performance and margin.
- Prepare analyses that support business reviews, cost and productivity initiatives, inventory and working-capital decisions and operational strategies.
- Analyze productivity, labor efficiency, overhead absorption, material cost and purchase price variance (PPV), inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) to surface the operational drivers of cost and margin.
- Present performance insights, recommendations, alternatives and business impacts to finance and business leaders.
- Improve reporting, analytical tools and business performance visibility to enhance decision-making.
Business Partnership
- Partner with the operations and supply chain finance leader and assigned business group stakeholders to evaluate the financial implications of business initiatives, operational decisions and performance improvement opportunities.
- Challenge assumptions, assess alternatives and trade-offs and provide financial perspectives that support informed business decisions.
- Support business reviews, planning discussions, cost reviews, inventory reviews and other leadership forums through clear financial insights and recommendations.
- Partner with supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and working capital.
- Build trusted relationships across the function and drive alignment and accountability against financial commitments and business priorities.
- Monitor and report progress against productivity, cost and inventory priorities and key business objectives.
- Informally guide and review the work of less-experienced analysts, raising the analytical capability of the team.
What You Will Bring to Graco
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, accounting or related finance discipline.
- Experience partnering with operations, supply chain or manufacturing teams to support planning, forecasting, performance management and business decision-making.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, scenario planning, variance analysis and business performance management capabilities.
- Ability to translate complex financial and business data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively partner with leaders across the organization.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and lead complex cross-functional analyses with minimal direction.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, reporting tools and financial analysis platforms.
Accelerators
- Global industrial manufacturing experience.
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
- Experience supporting operations, supply chain, manufacturing or plant finance.
- Experience analyzing productivity, standard cost and variances, inventory, working capital or capital projects.
- Experience with Oracle, OneStream, Power BI or similar planning and analytics tools.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
