Staff Fullstack Engineer
About the Role
This is a staff-level engineering role at an AI-native fintech SaaS company building modern Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) software for finance teams. You'll partner closely with executive leadership to shape platform architecture from an early stage, with significant influence over technical direction and engineering culture.
What You'll Do
Collaborate with leadership and teammates to prioritize and execute on the product roadmap.
Design, develop, and own complex features and software components end-to-end.
Deliver robust, scalable, and well-tested code across the full stack.
Establish engineering best practices that lay the foundation for a high-performing, growing team.
Partner with Design and Operations teams to continuously improve the product.
What We're Looking For
8+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years contributing to system design or architecture.
Strong full-stack proficiency using TypeScript/JavaScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend.
Solid experience with React; well-balanced full-stack or frontend-leaning engineers are a strong fit.
Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery — able to architect, deploy, and operate scalable cloud services.
Experience modeling, querying, and optimizing MongoDB schemas for performance at scale.
Strong testing discipline across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Proven track record leading platform architecture decisions, setting technical direction, and mentoring engineers.
Ability to work effectively as part of a fully distributed, remote team across the US, Canada, and LATAM.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $185,000 – $240,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Fully remote. Open to candidates based in the United States, Canada, and LATAM. Primary hiring location is Canada.
