Staff Principal Software Engineer Product

You will build and scale product systems that are fast, reliable, and ready to support millions of users. You will implement and maintain features across the frontend, backend, and infrastructure, owning them from architecture through production. You will design backend services, APIs, and infrastructure components; collaborate with machine learning, design, and product colleagues; drive the development lifecycle; and help shape technical direction and product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale systems that power Lovable products for millions of users.
• Implement and maintain features across the frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Own features from architecture through production.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and infrastructure components.
• Collaborate with machine learning, design, and product teams to create intuitive user experiences.
• Drive the development lifecycle from technical planning through production launch and post-release iteration.
• Contribute to technical direction, engineering culture, and product strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing, building, and shipping production products at senior engineering levels.
• Deep full-stack experience or strong backend expertise.
• Fluency in modern frontend development with React and TypeScript and/or backend development with Golang and Rust.
• Understanding of systems design, performance tradeoffs, and scalable architecture for products serving millions of users.
• Strong product sense and ability to make well-reasoned technical decisions.
• Ability to own systems end-to-end, including architecture, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive organisational clarity.
