Staff Senior Engineer Backend Focused Greenfield Agentic Project
You will embed with engineering teams to build agentic payment capabilities across systems. You will own features end to end, develop Node.js and TypeScript backend services, use AWS cloud services for resilient architectures, ship infrastructure for safe agent transactions, and operate your work in production.
Responsibilities
- Embed with engineering teams to build agentic payment capabilities
- Own agentic features across team boundaries
- Build backend services in Node.js and TypeScript
- Use AWS Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, Aurora, S3, and CloudWatch
- Build infrastructure for safe agent transactions
- Collaborate with product, founders, and engineers
- Operate features in production
Requirements
- 5-8+ years of professional backend engineering experience
- Experience shipping quickly in unfamiliar codebases
- Deep Node.js and TypeScript expertise
- RESTful API design
- Asynchronous job patterns
- AWS cloud services experience
- SQL fundamentals
- Relational database experience
- Event-driven architecture familiarity
- Serverless architecture familiarity
- Autonomous work in a remote async team
- Payments, card issuing, or fintech infrastructure experience is desirable
- Agentic AI or autonomous systems exposure is desirable
