Strategic Finance Manager

You will be a key driver in the company's financial growth and efficiency, developing, interpreting, and implementing financial concepts for planning and control. You'll lead financial forecasting and budgeting processes, advise on long-term business and financial planning, and provide strategic recommendations to finance leadership. You will conduct variance analysis, coordinate with finance and business partners, coach and develop team members, and lead ad-hoc projects that drive organizational goals. You'll prepare succinct presentations that translate complex data into actionable insights for decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial forecasting and budgeting processes, including preparation of internal management and board reporting
• Provide strategic recommendations to finance leadership and executive management based on rigorous financial analysis
• Assess company performance against the annual budget and long-term strategy, making adjustments and recommendations
• Conduct detailed variance analysis to drive deeper understanding of business and financial performance
• Coordinate with finance and business partner team members to review financial information and forecasts
• Manage, coach, and develop finance team members to promote professional growth
• Lead ad-hoc projects that drive organizational goals, bringing together cross-functional teams
• Provide leadership to finance department team members, fostering independence and collaboration
• Prepare succinct presentations for decision-makers, translating complex data into actionable insights

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in business finance, consulting, or related experience
• Proven experience as a finance leader with a track record of leading a team
• High proficiency in financial modeling and advanced knowledge of Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in financial management software such as NetSuite and spreadsheet-based planning and reporting tools
• Effective partnership and influencing skills
• Ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-moving, growth-oriented organization
• Ability to deal with ambiguity in rapidly changing conditions
• MBA or related advanced degree preferred
