Strategic Procurement Specialist - India

Cablex is seeking a Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our India team and support global procurement and supply chain operations across our long-term manufacturing programs.
Reporting to the Head of Global Procurement, you will play a key role in improving cost efficiency, strengthening supplier relationships and supporting reliable supply across our global operations.
Key responsibilities:
Drive supplier and item-level cost reduction initiatives using spend, pricing and performance insights
Support supplier negotiations, commercial terms, pricing models and contract renewals
Find practical opportunities to reduce material costs, improve freight efficiency and consolidate supply
Work with bids, planning, finance, logistics and production to support accurate pricing and supply continuity
Keep vendor, purchasing, supplier documentation and contract records accurate and up to date
Contribute to procurement reporting, KPI tracking, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
About you
This role will suit someone who is analytical, detail-oriented and confident working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver better commercial outcomes. You will bring:
A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Logistics or a related field
At least 3 years’ procurement or purchasing experience, ideally within manufacturing
Experience supporting supplier negotiations, commercial terms, pricing models and purchasing activity
Strong analytical capability across spend, pricing and supplier performance data
Confidence using Excel, ERP/MRP systems and procurement reporting tools
Strong attention to detail, organisation and written and spoken English communication skills
Experience in freight or logistics cost management, hub consolidation, BI tools or procurement certification will be highly regarded.
