Supply Chain Analyst
About the Role
The Supply Chain Analyst at SATURDAYS is responsible for turning merchandising and sales data into clear, actionable insights that support assortment, pricing, and promotional decisions.
Day-to-day, this person gathers and cleans data from multiple sources, builds and maintains spreadsheet-based reports and dashboards, and conducts detailed sales and inventory analyses to uncover trends in product performance and customer behavior. The role works closely with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to recommend actions that optimize product mix, improve margins, and enhance the overall customer experience, while also supporting forecasting, test-and-learn initiatives, and performance reviews of new collections and sales channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and consolidate sales, inventory, and merchandising data from multiple sources (POS, e-commerce platforms, internal systems)
- Build and maintain reports, trackers, and dashboards primarily using Excel/Google Sheets (advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookup functions, etc.)
- Analyze product performance, sell-through rates, stock levels, and pricing trends to support assortment and inventory decisions
- Monitor promotional and campaign performance, providing data-backed recommendations to merchandising and marketing teams
- Support demand forecasting and replenishment planning based on historical sales trends
- Identify patterns in customer behavior and product performance to inform assortment planning
- Prepare clear, digestible reports and presentations for cross-functional stakeholders
- Assist in performance reviews of new product collections and sales channels
- Support test-and-learn initiatives (e.g., pricing tests, promo mechanics, new product launches) with structured data analysis
Qualifications
- Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience in data analysis (retail, e-commerce, or merchandising context is a strong plus)
- Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets is required : comfortable working with formulas (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, conditional logic, array formulas, etc.) to build and maintain reports.
- Experience organizing and analyzing large, messy datasets into clean, usable formats
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to translate data into insights for non-technical, cross-functional teams (merchandising, marketing, operations)
- Familiarity with BI/visualization tools such as Google Looker Studio (Data Studio) is a plus;
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineer, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, Data Science) or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- High attention to detail, curiosity about customer and sales behavior, and a data-driven approach to problem-solving
