Mō te tūranga | About the Role

Lamb and Marker Service provides dedicated support for four individuals aged between 50 and 70. Three people have high support needs, including dementia, and one person requires some assistance with day-to-day tasks. Aged care support, medication management and building a strong rapport with the people being supported are key aspects of this role.

The people supported here enjoy a vibrant mix of activities—attending cricket and Crusaders rugby games, live music concerts on Sunday afternoons, shopping at the mall or a market, connecting with the person's community in Hohepa and spending time with friends and whānau. At home, they like to relax together in the lounge, share kai, and catch up on the latest community news.

You will be energetic, empathetic and able to work alongside this person focussing on creating a life of rich and diverse experiences while being able to read situations, problem solve and apply boundaries or offer space. Daily tasks include supporting with daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth. You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.95 and $30 per hour.

Position 1

  • Sunday to Tuesday 7am to 3pm

Total Hours per fortnight: 48

Position 2

  • Wednesday to Saturday 7am to 3pm

Total Hours per fortnight: 64

Position 3

  • Wednesday to Saturday 3pm to 11pm

Total Hours per fortnight: 64

We feel that the title Support Coordinator better reflects the nature of the role, which requires working in partnership with the people receiving support to ensure we are achieving our organisation mission of every life fully lived.
