Job Description

We are helping our client to seek a driven and clinically-savvy Surgical Equipment Sales Representative to join their team. You will be responsible for promoting and selling surgical devices and equipment to hospitals, surgical centres, and healthcare institutions, building strong relationships with surgeons, procurement teams, and clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales of surgical equipment within an assigned territory or account portfolio, meeting or exceeding revenue targets
• Build and maintain relationships with surgeons, OR (operating room) staff, procurement officers, and hospital administrators
• Provide in-theatre support and product demonstrations during surgical procedures where required
• Conduct product training for clinical staff on proper equipment usage and handling
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market share within existing accounts
• Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, tendering/quotation support, negotiation, and closing
• Stay current on product knowledge, surgical techniques, and competitor landscape
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, clinical specialists, regulatory) to support customer needs
• Handle tender submissions and documentation for public healthcare institutions where applicable
• Attend conferences, workshops, and medical exhibitions to represent the company

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or related field (or equivalent sales experience)
• 2+ years of sales experience in medical devices, surgical equipment, or pharmaceutical industry preferred
• Comfortable in operating theatre/clinical environments
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory
• Willingness to be on-call or provide after-hours support for surgical cases where needed
• Valid driving license (if travel across sites is required)
