The role is based at our Christchurch office and reports to the IT Operations and Service Delivery Manager. It is a 12-month fixed term, covering a member of our team who has been seconded to another role within the business.
You'll play an important role in maintaining and improving our network and systems environment while contributing to key technology initiatives that support the future growth of the business.

What You'll Be Doing
As our Systems Administrator, you'll be responsible for ensuring our technology environment remains secure, reliable, and fit for the future. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and improving our cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
- Supporting and enhancing our network environment across New Zealand and Australia.
- Maintaining security systems and controls to protect our people, data, and business applications.
- Managing identity and access controls to ensure secure and appropriate access.
- Monitoring system performance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Supporting backup, recovery, and business continuity processes.
- Supporting core business applications and resolving escalated technical issues.
- Administering Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms.
- Providing technical expertise and contributing to infrastructure and business projects.
- Working closely with external technology partners and service providers.
You'll be an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys balancing hands-on technical work with continuous improvement.
Ideally, you'll have:
- 5+ years' experience in systems, infrastructure, or network administration.
- Experience supporting both cloud and on-premise environments.
- Strong networking expertise across LAN, WAN, VPNs, switching, routing, and firewalls.
- Experience working with security technologies, access management, and system hardening.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach and a commitment to improving systems and services.
- Microsoft, Cisco, Azure, AWS, or related certifications.
