System Architect; Automotive / Embedded Systems

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and creative System Architect with experience in connected vehicles and embedded software to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing development and maintenance backlogs, prioritizing feature requests, and driving the growth of the product. You will work end-to-end, ensuring the successful delivery of hardware, embedded software, applications, and back-office components. The position offers the opportunity to lead the execution towards the high-level roadmap and manage stakeholder expectations while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain development and maintenance backlogs.
  • Prioritize feature requests and manage the development roadmap.
  • Be accountable for feature growth and delivery of the product.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of hardware (HW), embedded software (ESW), applications, and back-office components.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities to enhance the product and processes.
  • Coordinate updates with suppliers and steer execution towards the high-level roadmap (PSR L0).
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, creating user stories and ensuring alignment across teams.

Expected Profile:

  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science).
  • Experience working with connected vehicles and embedded software systems.
  • Solid knowledge of telematics, CAN systems, and cybersecurity.
  • Familiar with agile methods and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Creative, ambitious, and always up for new challenges.
  • Positive and adaptable, with a collaborative mindset.

Meritious Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in the marine sector.
  • Familiarity with Volvo tools and methods.
  • Driving License (B).
  • Experience conducting risk assessments (FMEA, HARA, TARA, etc.).
