Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Function Owner and System Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the Vehicle Speed Control and Limitation function, which includes various sub-functions such as cruise control and speed limiting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define all EUF requirements necessary for desired end-user functionality, ensuring safety, quality, functional variation, brand distinction, and platform harmonization.
- Establish short and long-term EUF strategies for all products and brands, collaborating with product planning, feature specialists, requirement owners, and other stakeholders.
- Serve as the Stakeholder/Product Owner voice for one EUF within projects.
- Act as a solution provider for the EUF across modules, domains, and engineering departments throughout all product life cycle phases.
- Lead and perform quality activities, including functional safety assessments, cyber security measures, and Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs).
- Work as the PRCO of R89 to ensure product compliance with R156 regulations.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
- Strong technical background and expertise in the vehicle domain.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and project managers. Experience in leading or managing a team is advantageous.
- Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions is essential for this role.
- Strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of your functions.
