Systems Administrator
This is not a purely back-end infrastructure role. A major part of the position is providing responsive, high-quality support to end users and taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
You’ll provide hands-on Level 1 and Level 2 support to the Melbourne office, prioritising and resolving tickets while supporting the broader systems and infrastructure environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing responsive L1/L2 technical support to end users across the Melbourne office
- Managing and prioritising incoming tickets based on urgency and business impact
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, access, application and connectivity issues
- Acting as a key on-the-ground IT contact for local employees
- Supporting Windows environments, Active Directory and user administration
- Managing user access, permissions, MFA and identity-related issues
- Working across AWS and Azure cloud environments
- Assisting with endpoint management, patching and general systems administration
- Around 3–5 years' experience across IT support, systems administration or infrastructure support
- Strong hands-on end-user support experience – this is essential
- Solid L1/L2 troubleshooting skills and confidence dealing directly with users
- Experience working within an ITSM/ticketing environment and managing competing priorities
- Exposure to AWS and/or Azure
- Experience with Okta, identity management, SSO or MFA
- Good knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft environments and endpoint support
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical users
You’ll have plenty of hands-on ownership locally while working alongside experienced infrastructure and technology teams in a broader regional environment.
