Summary
Principal Systems Architect for a fully remote role designing enterprise-wide ICAM (Identity, Credential and Access Management) solutions, including authentication, authorization, privileged access management, and segregation of duties, in compliance with DoD, OSI, ISO, and IEEE open-systems standards.
BMA is seeking a Systems Architect - Principal to join our team supporting our AMPS program. This is a fully remote role.
Job Summary
Establishes system information requirements using analysis of the information engineer(s) in the development of Identity Credential Access Management (ICAM) requirements into enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems. Determines and identifies high level functional and technical requirements based on interactions with the user community and knowledge of the enterprise architecture. Designs system ICAM implementation architecture to include the software, hardware and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces. Identifies, assesses, and presents options for meeting the functional and technical requirements including authentication and authorization, segregation of duties, privileged access management. Responsible for developing high level system design diagrams. Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures, the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and International Standards Organization (ISO) reference models, and profiles of standards - such as Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Open Systems Environment (OSE) reference model - as they apply to the implementation and specification of Information Management (IM) solution of the application platform, across the application program interface (API), and the external environment/software application. Ensures that the common operating environment is compliant. Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action.
Clearance Requirements
There is a Secret Security clearance requirement for this role upon hire.
Required Skills & Certifications
- Five (5) years of overall professional experience in the system architecture and engineering field.
- Five (5) years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IDAM/ICAM) implementations and integrations.
- Must possess a DoD Approved 8140 Baseline Certification for Category IAT Level II.
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
- Must possess Level 1 Non-Sensitive (Low Risk) Tier 1 clearance prior to onboarding.
- Ideally, MA/MS in a technical discipline with at least fifteen (15) years of experience.
- Must possess IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) prior to onboarding.
