Systems Delivery Manager (Critical Infrastructure)

Location: Perth CBD
Employment Type: 6 months casual contract with likelihood of extension

We are seeking an experienced Systems Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of owner-procured critical infrastructure packages on a major project. This role will take ownership of the complete lifecycle of key engineering systems, ensuring successful coordination across design, procurement, vendor management, construction, commissioning, and handover.

Working closely with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations and external design consultants, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring complex, multidisciplinary systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of major engineering systems and equipment packages.

  • Establish package priorities, delivery strategies, review processes, and resource requirements.

  • Manage technical interfaces across engineering disciplines, vendors, contractors, and project stakeholders.

  • Lead package governance throughout procurement, manufacture, delivery, installation, testing, and final acceptance.

  • Coordinate technical evaluations, tender assessments, and vendor recommendations.

  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure timely delivery of technical documentation and project data.

  • Ensure compliance with project quality, security, cyber, operational readiness, and engineering requirements.

  • Support the successful integration of systems through design, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.

  • Drive effective collaboration between project delivery teams, consultants, contractors, and operations stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Extensive experience delivering large-scale engineering systems or infrastructure projects.

  • Strong package management and vendor management experience.

  • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary interfaces across engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

  • Experience overseeing owner-procured equipment packages from concept through commissioning.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex project risks, interfaces, and delivery schedules.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience within one or more of the following sectors:

  • Data Centres

  • Mining & Resources

  • Power Generation

  • Utilities

  • Industrial Infrastructure

  • Oil & Gas

  • Major Capital Projects

Experience delivering systems such as:

  • Electrical Power Infrastructure

  • Cooling & HVAC Systems

  • Controls & OT Systems

  • Fire & Life Safety Systems

  • Security Systems

  • Critical Infrastructure Assets
