Team Lead Software Engineer

You will lead and develop a software engineering team building Adyen’s Global Cards platform for APAC. You will guide technical direction, architectural decisions, scalable payment software delivery, engineering quality, and collaboration with global product and engineering stakeholders.

• Lead, coach, and develop Software Engineers
• Foster an ownership and continuous learning culture
• Translate business priorities into scalable technical solutions
• Drive the team’s technical direction
• Guide architectural discussions and engineering decisions
• Deliver reliable and scalable card payment software
• Improve engineering practices and execution
• Resolve complex technical challenges
• Improve testing, observability, operational excellence, and developer productivity
• Author the Credit Card Payments strategy in APAC

Requirements

• Experience leading and developing software engineering teams
• Strong software engineering background
• Large-scale distributed systems experience
• Java or similar backend technology experience
• Technical mentorship and feedback experience
• Architectural decision-making experience
• Experience collaborating with Product Managers
• Problem-solving skills
• Payment systems or cards payments experience preferred
• Experience building resilient and scalable systems
