What You’ll Do
Networks Products & Technology - Security & Operations is responsible for Telstra's security and operations, protecting Telstra's assets and infrastructure.
PLEASE NOTE : This role requires you to be an Australian Citizen, and to currently hold or be eligible to hold Baseline security clearance.

Make an exciting move to a Technical / Physical Security Specialist role in our Network Operations Centre.
What you’ll do
Based onsite in Clayton, Melbourne and working with a supportive team on a 24 x 7 rostered shift basis, you will support the physical security of major infrastructure for Telstra and for our major clients.
This is an exciting front-line job in our Operations Centre, detecting & responding to events impacting Telstra and our Customers. You will join a team who at times have the opportunity to work with Law Enforcement, and help them get their job done.
You’ll proactively identify and drive resolutions for Network at Risk events.
You’ll monitor alarms and manage incidents end2end (from creation to resolution).
You’ll manage changes and organise hardware replacement activities
You’ll communicate with a wide range of Stakeholders, including other technical support groups, DevOps and Incident Management teams, and external partners, vendors and organisations.
About You
PLEASE NOTE : This role requires you to be an Australian Citizen, and to currently hold or be eligible to hold Baseline security clearance.
You will work onsite in our Global Operations Centre, in Clayton, Melbourne.
You may be looking to transition to a technical role, have some technical qualifications, or be looking to join a great company and contribute your physical security experience.
You’ll have experience in all, or some, of these :
Experience in real-time operational environments preferably with some exposure to large and complex, mixed technology internet facing systems and applications.
Confidence and great communication skills on the phone, with our clients and with other Telstra teams.
A good understanding of the ITIL framework
High level of problem solving and analytical skill
Self motivated and willing to own and solve issues
