Technical Project Manager – Data Archiving & Migration

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a key Data Archiving workstream within a large-scale transformation programme. The role will also provide technical project management support to a major data migration workstream, coordinating the ancillary technical activities required to ensure successful migration across surrounding systems and downstream data flows.

This is a senior role suited to a candidate with approximately 5–6 years of experience in technical project management, ideally with a background in data delivery, data migration, data archiving, or large-scale transformation programmes.

  • Coordinate project dependencies, risks, issues, milestones, and delivery plans across multiple technical teams.
  • Support the development and securing of the business case and funding for the archiving initiative.
  • Provide clear project updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders and steering committees.

Data Migration Support

  • Support a large-scale data transformation and migration workstream, coordinating technical activities required to support the migration.
  • Coordinate secondary data loads into surrounding systems and manage downstream data cascades and dependencies.
  • Work closely with multiple technical delivery teams and third-party suppliers to align migration activities and timelines.
  • Coordinate technical teams’ involvement in migration testing, rehearsals, and delivery activities.
  • Identify and manage technical dependencies, risks, and issues that could impact migration delivery.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment across technical, business, and supplier stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 5–6 years of experience in Technical Project Management or a similar delivery-focused role.
  • Proven experience delivering data-related projects or programmes.
  • Strong understanding of data migration, data archiving, data delivery, or data transformation initiatives.
