Technical Project Manager L1
Derivco is looking for a Project Manager Level 1 to plan, coordinate, and drive end-to-end delivery of small to medium complexity projects. In this role, you'll ensure work is completed on time, within agreed scope, and to quality standards — all within our established project governance frameworks and delivery methodologies.
This is more than a coordination role. It's a genuine development pathway into more complex, strategically significant project responsibilities, giving you the foundations to grow your project leadership career within a fast-paced, global iGaming technology environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining project plans, including scope documentation, milestones, task breakdowns, and dependency maps
- Managing day-to-day project execution — tracking progress, identifying slippage, and adjusting plans in response to risks, blockers, or changing requirements
- Prioritising and sequencing project activities, making sound trade-off decisions between scope, time, and quality
- Managing risks, issues, and scope changes through structured governance processes
- Communicating project status proactively to stakeholders through regular reports and facilitated meetings
- Coordinating cross-functional project teams, task owners, and contributors to keep delivery on track
- Managing vendor and third-party engagement where applicable
- Maintaining project governance artefacts (risk registers, decision logs, action trackers, status reports)
- Escalating issues, risks, and scope changes beyond your authority level to your Line Manager
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of project management standards, templates, and practices
What You'll Bring
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation, or an equivalent project management certification is preferred.
Experience: 2–4 years of progressive experience in project coordination or project management, with demonstrated experience delivering projects end-to-end within a structured governance environment.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Broad working knowledge of the full project management lifecycle — initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Developing proficiency in risk identification, issue management, and scope change control, including RAID log management
- Practical experience coordinating internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams across technology and business units
- Proficiency with project planning and tracking tools, documentation platforms, and reporting tools
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills
- A structured, detail-oriented approach with a genuine interest in growing into more complex project leadership
