Technical Project Manager L2

Derivco Group is looking for a Project Manager Level 2 to manage and drive the end-to-end delivery of medium to large complexity technology projects. You'll ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards — proactively managing stakeholder alignment, cross-functional dependencies, and delivery risks with a high degree of independence, within our defined project governance standards and delivery authority parameters.

This is a senior delivery role for an experienced project manager ready to lead complex, high-visibility initiatives and help develop the next tier of project management talent within the function.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing end-to-end delivery of medium to large complexity projects, from requirements gathering through to project closure, coordinating internal teams, external vendors, and operators
  • Developing, maintaining, and adapting comprehensive project plans, delivery roadmaps, and schedules in response to evolving scope, capacity constraints, and emerging dependencies
  • Making priority and sequencing decisions across project activities, resolving trade-offs between scope, time, and quality to maintain delivery focus and unblock team progress
  • Proactively managing risk identification, dependency tracking, and blocker resolution — defining mitigation owners and contingency plans across cross-functional teams
  • Driving structured stakeholder communication across internal delivery teams, senior management, external vendors, and operators, providing timely updates and escalation recommendations
  • Applying structured governance practices, including change control, scope management, decision logging, and reporting cadences, to maintain compliance with audit and regulatory expectations
  • Managing capacity allocation and resource scheduling across project teams to maximise throughput and sustain delivery quality
  • Managing vendor and operator relationships throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating external deliverables, escalation pathways, and integration timelines
  • Coaching and supporting junior project managers and coordinators on delivery execution, governance practices, and stakeholder engagement
  • Implementing process improvements to delivery practices, governance standards, and reporting frameworks to increase predictability and reduce administrative overhead.

What You'll Bring

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation, or an equivalent project management certification preferred.

Experience: 4–6 years of progressive experience in project management, with demonstrated experience leading medium to large complexity projects independently within a technology or product delivery environment.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficient in managing the end-to-end project delivery lifecycle — requirements gathering, scope definition, planning, dependency tracking, risk management, and structured project closure
  • Proficient in project governance frameworks, including risk and issue management, dependency tracking, change control processes, and structured reporting
  • Competent stakeholder management, with experience engaging technical engineering teams, senior management, and external operators, and resolving competing priorities
  • Experience coordinating external vendor relationships, operator engagements, and third-party delivery obligations, ensuring alignment of timelines, quality, and contractual commitments
  • Capability in coaching and developing junior project managers and coordinators
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Microsoft Visio
  • Strong negotiation, critical thinking, and influencing skills, with the confidence to operate with a high degree of independence.

Who You'll Work With

You'll report to the Manager: Project Management and partner closely with Product Office and Product Management Teams, Technology and Platform Teams, Engineering Managers and Team Leads, Finance and Compliance Teams, Senior Leadership and Business Executives, and Business Analysts. You may also engage directly with operators, external customers, vendors, and third-party technology partners.

Why This Role Matters

Reliable delivery of medium to large technology projects underpins Derivco's ability to meet operator contractual commitments, launch market-ready products, and sustain a competitive delivery capability. As a Project Manager Level 2, you'll manage the complexity, risk, and stakeholder relationships that keep our strategic initiatives on track — while helping to raise the bar for project delivery capability across the wider team.

Closing date: 03 September 2026
