Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Sales Engineer to serve as a strategic technologist and advisor to our clients in the AEC Industry. This role is the critical bridge between sales and engineering, focused on identifying and scoping high-level data-driven workflow automations.
Success in this position requires a rare blend of deep technical curiosity and executive presence. You must be able to listen to stakeholders at every level, from C-suite executives focused on ROI to directors managing strategy and "doers" executing daily tasks and translate their challenges into modern automation and integration solutions.
This is a role supporting a consultative sales methodology. You will understand our customers’ business challenges and design tailored solutions across enterprise systems integration, business / process automation, custom web applications, and enable data insights and AI.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Solution Design

Partner with sales leadership to support discovery, solutioning, and pre-sales efforts

Lead technical and business discovery sessions to understand client workflows, challenges, and goals

Translate business needs into well-structured technical and service-based solutions

Design high-level solution architectures and service approaches
Pre-Sales & Proposal Support

Develop solution narratives, scopes of work, and high-level estimates

Contribute to proposals and client presentations

Clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Partner with delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with best practices
Technical & Strategic Advisory

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them evaluate options and make informed decisions

Identify opportunities for expanded services or long-term partnerships

Stay current on emerging technologies, platforms, and best practices in integration, automation, ERP, data, and leveraging AI safely in an enterprise

Advise clients on build vs. buy and a best of breed approach leveraging Autodesk AEC Products and Autodesk Platform Services
Internal Collaboration

Work closely with Client Success Specialists, software engineers, solution architects, and delivery teams

Ensure smooth handoff from sales to delivery

Provide feedback to leadership on market trends, client needs, and service offerings

Produce high quality documentation on client pain points, client’s systems & processes, key datasets and data flows

This full-time role requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, with additional hours as needed to meet deadlines.
