Warehouse Day Manager
Major Food Distributor located in the Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is seeking a Full-Time Day Shift Manager to oversee warehouse operations.
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage inbound warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory movement, put away, replenishment, and overall shift execution, while consistently maintaining productivity, accuracy, safety, and service standards.
Must be flexible to work weekend shifts, including Saturdays or Sundays, approximately 6:00 AM to close (3:00 PM).
Salary: $80,000-$86,000
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Foster a culture centered on safety, accountability, execution, and operational excellence by ensuring all day-shift processes, standards, and best practices are consistently implemented and maintained.
- Oversee day-shift inbound warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory movement, put away, replenishment, and slotting activities while ensuring accuracy, productivity, and compliance with company procedures.
- Manage OS&D (Overage, Shortage & Damage) processes, inventory verification, and damage reduction initiatives to maintain strong inventory accuracy and customer service standards.
- Supervise warehouse staff, including receivers, lumpers, and Hilo operators, while driving accountability, coaching, and performance improvement.
- Monitor KPIs, labor efficiency, staffing levels, and workflow performance to identify operational improvements and minimize downtime and overtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, housekeeping, loss prevention, and equipment procedures while maintaining effective communication across shifts and departments.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and operational reporting tools to support daily execution and continuous operational excellence.
