Circuit Recruitment is partnering with a leading Australian organisation to appoint a Workday Product Owner / People Systems Lead.
This is a permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys partnering with HR, Payroll and Technology stakeholders, driving continuous improvement, and maximising the value of Workday across the business. This isn't a support-focused HRIS role—it's a strategic position responsible for shaping the future direction of the organisation's People Systems capability.
About the Role
As the Workday SME, you'll own the People Systems roadmap and be responsible for the ongoing optimisation of Workday and associated People Technology platforms.
Working across multiple business functions, you'll identify opportunities to improve processes, deliver system enhancements, support integrations and champion automation initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Own the Workday platform across multiple functional modules
Act as Product Owner for the organisation's People Systems
Partner with HR, Payroll, Technology and key business stakeholders
Deliver system enhancements, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
Manage Workday integrations and support future system capability
Drive automation and AI initiatives across the People function
Coordinate testing, releases and system governance
Champion best practice across People Technology
About You
You'll bring:
Strong hands-on experience with Workday across multiple modules
Experience owning or leading an enterprise Workday environment
Knowledge of HR systems, integrations and People Technology
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to influence change
Experience working with HR, Payroll and Technology teams
Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, AI initiatives, Power BI or similar technologies will be highly regarded but isn't essential.
