Workday US Payroll and Benefits Analyst
Role Summary
The Workday US Payroll and Benefits Analyst supports the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Workday Payroll and Benefits modules for Sia’s US employee population. The role partners closely with HR, Finance, and IT to ensure accurate payroll processing, sound benefits administration, and ongoing compliance with US federal and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities we’ll trust you to do:
Configure and maintain Workday Payroll and Benefits modules, including business processes, calculated fields, and eligibility rules for the US population. Configurations for compensation, advanced compensation and HCM are also needed if changes are impacting those modules.
Collaborate closely with US HR team members and other business stakeholders on the development of system requirements and testing plans.
Troubleshoot payroll and benefits business process routing issues (approvals, notifications, role assignments) and resolve discrepancies.
Partner closely with the Workday HRIS team to test and deploy system updates and new functionality across Workday releases.
Support integrations between Workday and third-party payroll and benefits vendors.
Prepare and review payroll and benefits reports, audits, and reconciliations.
Provide first-level support to US HR on payroll, benefits, and Workday functionality questions.
Document configuration decisions, business process changes, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of experience administering Workday Payroll and/or Benefits, ideally supporting a US employee population.
Strong understanding of US payroll tax rules, wage and hour laws, and benefits compliance requirements.
Strong working knowledge of US benefits, leave of absence programs, and related compliance requirements.
Hands-on experience configuring Workday business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, and security/role assignments.
Workday certification in Payroll or Benefits (Optional).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail in a high-compliance environment.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
