Workshop Manager
Master Steel is a small family owned and
multicultural team, that has been established for over 25 years as a specialist
in steel fabrication, located in Molendinar, QLD. We are ISO 3834, TMR
certified and manufacture technical components for the heavy industries and
public sectors.
Due to our extensive year-on-end growth within the industry, the company is now
seeking to employ a Workshop / Production Manager to join our office team.
In this role you will be expected to do the following:
- Liaise with clients, discuss scopes of work, be able to
interpret engineering drawings and have a good understanding of inclusions and
exclusions in project scope
- Lead and oversee the workshop production and on-site
installation
- Direct and supervise workshop staff comprising of different
trades including (but not limited to): Boilermakers, Fitters, Apprentices,
Labour Hire personnel, etc.
- Understanding of the production flow chart and offer system
improvements to ensure continuous and lean manufacturing
- Be able to understand MDRs and welding specifications in line
with project needs
- Develop and write safety documentation, installation
methodologies, scopes of work. The candidate has written technical
documentation in the past.
- Ensure that production schedules are met to client’s deadlines
and budget allocated
- Production planning & scheduling for WIP report

You will need the following:
- Prior experience as a superintendent / manager in
manufacturing
- Must have Tertiary Qualification in Engineering or relevant
degree
- Intermediate level with Microsoft office suite
