AI Engineer
About the Role
We're a small, fast-moving team building an AI-driven talent platform that connects candidates directly with startups — no job boards, no resume black holes. We're hiring AI Engineers to tackle two core technical challenges: scaling our backend infrastructure and optimizing the LLM and AI agent flows that power our product. Your work will have direct, visible impact on platform performance and user experience from day one.
We're looking to hire one or two exceptionally strong, startup-motivated engineers who thrive in environments where ownership, speed, and craft matter.
What You'll Do
Own backend scalability — design and implement services and systems built to handle growth.
Tune and iterate on LLM integrations and AI agent orchestration pipelines to improve reliability, efficiency, and output quality in production.
Ship real, production-grade software with measurable impact.
Work closely with a lean engineering team where your decisions carry real weight.
What We're Looking For
Must-haves:
5+ years of backend software engineering experience delivering scalable production systems.
Hands-on experience integrating and optimizing LLMs and AI agent workflows in production environments.
A track record of consistently coding and shipping software — practical experience valued over formal credentials.
Experience working in fast-growing startup environments; startup motivation is essential.
High agency, strong sense of ownership, and intentional career choices that reflect a commitment to your craft.
Eligible to work in Sweden (visa sponsorship is not available).
Nice-to-haves:
A strong portfolio of side projects that demonstrates technical depth and sustained curiosity.
Experience building AI-driven features end-to-end in production.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $80,000–$120,000 USD, with flexibility for exceptionally senior candidates.
Equity: Included; salary/equity mix is negotiable.
Location
On-site in Stockholm, Sweden. Candidates must be based in Stockholm or able to relocate and legally work in Sweden.
