Based in our Mauritius office, you will be part of a team responsible for performing in-depth analysis of enterprise merchant payout applications and managing their submission to the Card Schemes. This is an incredible opportunity to kickstart your career in financial services and payments, specializing in core areas such as AML, Due Diligence, and Card Scheme regulations.

This position offers unique exposure to our core business areas, requiring close collaboration with key internal stakeholders, including Sales, Compliance, Underwriting, Product teams, and Senior Management.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Conduct detailed risk assessments on regulatory and Card Scheme compliance related to the Pay to Card product (Visa Direct and Mastercard).

  • Prepare diverse application types, including Pay to Bank, Pay to Card, and Account Funding Transaction requests.

  • Coordinate cross-functionally with the Commercial team and other internal partners to collect all required documentation and information.

  • Manage the scheme submission lifecycle, submitting applications to the Card Schemes and maintaining a vigilant follow-up process.

  • Ensure data integrity and transparency by consistently tracking application statuses and maintaining internal trackers with real-time updates.

  • Execute merchant change requests related to Pay to Card/Pay to Bank, working with the Commercial team and external partners.

  • Fulfill mandatory compliance reporting, performing all required registration and reporting activities to the Card Schemes.

What we’re looking for

  • 1-2 years of experience in a compliance, underwriting, or support role, preferably within the financial services or payments industry.

  • Highly analytical with words and text rather than numbers; you enjoy meticulously analyzing documentation, guidelines, and complex rules in a manner similar to how a legal professional reviews laws and court cases.

  • Possess a steady, focused ambition with a clear drive to build a career in fintech or payments. You are motivated to find fulfillment in your daily responsibilities while remaining eager to grow.

  • A strong commitment to continuous improvement—striving to be Better Everyday in your execution, which naturally empowers you to step up and Be the Owner of your work and its outcomes.

  • Good IT skills, especially in Google Suite and AI tools.

  • Be confident in building effective working relationships and working as part of a team.

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, capable of building and maintaining effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, and deliver results against a tight deadline.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
