Assistant Tax Manager (10k/5 days)

Responsibilities:

Oversee tax compliance for both domestic and foreign entities, which involves working with external tax advisors to draft, examine, and submit direct and indirect tax returns.
Support the drafting, review, and external coordination of the group's transfer pricing documentation and Country-by-Country Reporting, ensuring adherence to guidelines and local statutory requirements.
Draft, verify, and lodge indirect tax filings for all local and overseas subsidiaries.
Compile and assess recurring current and deferred tax provisions for both domestic and international operations.
Communicate with tax authorities regarding assessments, appeals, audits, or investigations as needed.
Assist with the statutory financial audit process and the preparation of audited financial statements.
Scrutinize contracts and agreements, providing tax-related advice or flagging potential tax implications in response to ad-hoc inquiries.
Participate in tax-related projects and initiatives as assigned.
Take primary responsibility for managing all tax compliance matters.
Carry out other ad-hoc duties and tasks as reasonably required.

Requirements:

Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is required, along with recognized professional credentials such as the Accredited Tax Practitioner(Income Tax)
Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience is expected, including at least 3 years specifically in transfer pricing—ideally gained within an international multinational corporation (MNC).
A solid working knowledge of transfer pricing principles is essential.
Proficiency in Oracle, HFM, and OA systems is necessary for handling routine operational tasks.
Candidates must have comprehensive expertise in US GAAP, along with strong command of MS Excel, MS Word, and the ability to deliver effective presentations.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are a must, coupled with a genuine commitment to producing high-quality outcomes.
